From different viewpoints to
Involve all students in the conversation, and safely practice with perspective exchange on key topics.

A training ground for perspective exchange
Civinc is a new way to discuss important course-related or societal themes. In <30 minutes, up to hundreds of students exchange thoughts anonymously with someone who has a different perspective, to safely practice with different opinions.

Involve all students
A group discussion is often dominated by a few outspoken students. With Civinc, all students can contribute equally to the dialogue. This way, there is room for every voice, and the ‘silent majority’ is a thing of the past.
Connect student perspectives
Civinc is designed to bring students with different opinions into conversation in a safe way. Without bias, peer pressure or social desirability. Studies show that this creates mutual understanding, depolarization and the development of essential conversation skills.

Understand what’s on students' minds
A Civinc session quickly reveals how students view a topic and uncovers the arguments and ideas behind their opinions. These insights equip teachers with the means to reflect and dive deeper with the group.

What students say
Reading what the other person thought made me think and sometimes I changed my mind.
I really enjoyed talking to someone about a subject in this way, to see both sides and be curious about each other.
It’s really nice that you’re anonymous, because even if your opinion isn’t extreme, it still gives you a safer feeling.
I’m normally always afraid that I’ll say something wrong. This way, heated discussions are less likely to arise and a middle ground can be found.
Who we are
At Civinc, our mission is to connect people with different viewpoints in meaningful exchanges. Because those conversations are the kind that offer a fresh perspective and help foster mutual understanding. But they’re also the kind that can be challenging to have or organize, whether in the classroom, at the workplace or in society at large.
